“Solutions for Success” Joint Focus Groups Coming to a City Near You

Leaders of the state’s two education employee organizations, WVEA and AFT-West Virginia, will hold focus groups to generate solutions to improve our public schools in ways that best support student success.Both organizations are very dissatisfied with the results of the National Assessment of Educational Progress (NAEP) scores and are asking for input from everyone involved in our school systems, including parents, to participate in one of the focus groups.The focus groups will be asked to provide their input and ideas on the resources, supports, training, community and parent engagement, and other factors that will help improve student achievement in West Virginia.Focus groups will be held in cities throughout the state.  Our local session will be Thursday, December 8, 2022 at the Woodrow Wilson High School cafeteria.WHAT: Solutions for Success by AFT-WV and WVEAWHEN: Thursday, December 8, 20226:00 – 7:30 PM (Registration begins at 5:30 PM)WHERE: Woodrow Wilson High School Cafeteria400 Stanaford Road, Beckley, West Virginia
